Book Signing Success

Barnes & Noble Event

Thank you to the new followers who attended my first book signing event at Barnes & Noble (@bnashburnva). It was a pleasant surprise to see people from my Facebook and Instagram communities. Similarly, I enjoyed seeing several former colleagues from my LinkedIn community.

Regarding support, I couldn’t be happier. The B&N staff were terrific, engaged, and efficient. Their good care meant a lot to me as an independent writer with an independent publisher. I’m calling it a book signing success as we sold quite a few books together.

Additionally, I was touched by the incredible buyer stories. We discussed the private torture they feel in today’s volatile job market. Tired of constant coping, they are exhausted. The reasons? Repetitive overtime and no work-life balance. With little job satisfaction holding them back, they are ready to pivot. They will reclaim their power, and I am happy to help.

Interestingly, there were an equal number of buyers with positive work stories. They had heard about the relatable stories, insightful journal prompts, and resources. They mentioned that their interest centered around professional development and personal reflection only. While some purchased it for themselves, others bought it as a gift, calling it “Chicken Soup for the Work Soul.” That’s a perfect description, and I welcome the next round of new reader reviews.

Overall, the event was a blast, and I’m excited for the next one. Please join me on July 12 at the Barnes & Noble, Manassas, VA (@bnmanassas).
